She’s been there for you, through thick and
thin. There isn’t anybody else who can make you laugh until you cry, and no-one
can help you polish off a bottle of wine like she can. That’s why, when it’s your
best friend’s birthday, it’s important to spoil her. She deserves it, right?
Finding
the perfect fashion gift
If she’s a total fashion queen, then your
gift will have to reflect this. Without further ado, here are some great ideas
for fabulous fashionistas.
·
Silk pillow case. Bear with me if this
sounds a bit random. Many celebrities swear by their silk pillow cases, as
they’ve been proven to improve the health
of both your hair and skin. The fabric is less abrasive, which is great for
reducing skin inflammation and for smoothing hair follicles.
·
Named necklace. Who doesn’t love
something that’s been personalised? There are some fantastic companies out
there that will make a necklace
pendant with her name on it; or even both yours and hers, if you want to
give her something that will celebrate your amazing friendship.
· A new wallet. Is she the kind of girl
who always has a huge purse, stuffed with loyalty cards, receipts and other
random items? If so, she needs a special ‘going out’ wallet, and she needs it
now. A slimline, fashion-forward wallet can be easily slipped into an inside
pocket of a jacket, and it’ll carry all she needs for a night out – a credit
card, a few banknotes, and the phone number of that nice guy that chatted her
up earlier.
·
Some statement earrings. Us girls don’t
tend to treat
ourselves to earrings very often; so it’s especially nice when someone buys
them for us! Hopefully, you’re already familiar with the sort of thing she
loves – so look for a pair that reflect that. Choose something a bit bolder
than she’d normally go for too. Sometimes we need our best friends to push us
gently out of our comfort zones!
·
A sleep mask. Every woman needs a
pretty, frilly sleep mask. Preferably one of those fabulous novelty ones that’s
made of pink satin, with long-lashed eyes stitched on the front. Your best
friend will love it to bits.
·
New fragrance. If she’s anything like
most women, she’ll have been wearing the same old perfume for years. Now’s the
time to introduce her to something new. It doesn’t have to cost a fortune; some
sites do ‘inspired by’ versions of designer favourites. Look
for cruelty free perfume too – no-one wants to damage any animals or the
environment while making a purchase.
·
A bobby pin. Bobby pin-style hair grips
are big news in the fashion world right now, especially ones that are a bit
tongue-in-cheek (e.g. spelling out a word in diamante detailing). If your friend has long hair, you can afford
to go big and bold here; though if she’s a short-haired girl, you might want to
look for something a little more diminutive.
